Buffalo Bills Defeat the Titans in a 41-7 Blowout Victory; Further Reassuring their AFC Dominance

Updated: Dec 15, 2022

- - Josh Allen and Stephon Diggs celebrating win over Tennessee

Tennesse's secondary failed to slow down the wildly explosive Ken Dorsey-led offense.

In consequence to Kristian Fulton sitting out because of a tight hamstring, the Titans were forced to start an inexperienced Caleb Farley, Roger McCreary, and Tre Avery.

And boy did Buffalo take advantage of this mismatch. Just in the first half, Josh Allen threw for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Nearly everything that could've gone wrong for Tennessee did.

The bottom line is this Titans offense goes as far as Derrick Henry goes, because of this Buffalo clearly made it a point to shut him down completely. The Titan's defense didn't allow Derrick Henry to gather anything resembling a rhythm. Derrick Henry only had 25 yards on 13 carries, with a 9-yard gain being his longest run of the game. Forcing Ryan Tannehill to try and win them the game through the air.

Long story short, Ryan Tannehill's job may be in jeopardy. Tannehill was benched and replaced with the rookie Malik Willis in the second half.

Tennessee collectively played sloppy football as Ryan Tannehill threw two interceptions; one of which led to a pick-six. Philips fumbled the ball on a punt return and backup QB Malik Willis fumbled the ball on a QB rush play.

Defensively the Bills were thriving as they had two sacks, one by Tremaine Edmunds and one by Greg Rousseau. Additionally, the Bills placed plenty of pressure on Tannehill as they deflected eight of the veteran quarterbacks' passes.

The Bills on the other hand made no real game-altering mistakes. The Bill's defense has only allowed two touchdowns on the season. And the offense is looking like the most lethal in the NFL, having already scored nine touchdowns.

Stephon Diggs appears unguardable, and Josh Allen continues to impress with highlight reel passes, elite football IQ, and a very troublesome rushing ability.

Diggs finished the game with 148 yards and three touchdowns on 12 receptions and Allen concluded with 317 yards, and 4 tds with zero interceptions.

Buffalo is set to face off against the Miami Dolphins in week three and Bills Mafia is certainly feeling confident after back-to-back dominant victories. It should be an entertaining high-scoring game considering Miami and Buffalo have the two highest-scoring offenses in the NFL thus far.
