Golden State Shocks the NBA World

Updated: Dec 15, 2022

The Golden State Warriors this season have been just that... warriors. This season they have been playing honest, determined, and passionate basketball. Steph Curry and company lead the Western conference currently as the first seed. The Warriors are the best defensive team in the NBA and rank 3rd offensively. Additionally, Curry is the clear favorite in the MVP race thus far, and put frankly, it's not even close. Curry is averaging an astonishing 28 pts, nearly 6 rebs, and 7 ast. Also, his talent and leadership have managed to take the same team that went 39-33 last season (missing the playoffs) and turned them into not only a playoff team but a championship contender.

Draymond Green has also been playing phenomenally. He's doing a great job facilitating the offense and supports the team defensively in ways that don't always appear on the stat sheet. Due to injuries, Golden State has not lived up to expectations over the past two years, but things are looking up for them right now. Green even said, "I've found love and joy for the game again". This is good news for Warrior fans because a passionate Draymond Green is a presence on both sides of the court.

What's more, James Wisemen (a promising young center) will be coming back in the middle of January at the latest. Not to mention the Warriors have managed to do all of this without the help of their 2nd best player and NBA all-star Klay Thompson who is reported to come back before Christmas.

The Golden State Warriors have put the league on notice and the Bay Area is looking forward to making some noise in the playoff once again.
