The Gypsy King and the Bronze Bomber are set to meet in the ring once again. The technical boxer being Tyson Fury (30-1-0) vs the knockout artist in Deontay Wilder (42-1-1) are once again prepared to create a magical night boxing fans are thrilled to see one last time.
These two titans of the heavyweight division are set to face off this Saturday, October 9th. These champions have a captivating history that winds back to their first bout in December 2018 where they had a widely debated tie. Wilder had two knockdowns on Fury but Fury completely outboxed Wilder besides that.

In their second fight, Fury stunned the boxing world and completely dominated Wilder for 7 rounds until Wilders corner (Mark Breland) threw in the towel. Which ultimately resulted in Tyson Fury winning by TKO. Wilder made accusations against Fury as to why the second fight went the way that it did. One being that Fury's team cheated and drugged his water. The craziest accusation was that Fury had loaded gloves during their second fight. Wilder even made the excuse that his pre-fight outfit tired his legs.
For the first time in Wilders life, his right hand couldn't erase away his biggest technical boxing issues. Anytime Wilder looked sloppy in the ring he would land his dynamite right hand and everyone would forget about everything that happened up till that point.
Wilder became a household name by applying pressure on all of his opponents and punishing them for making mistakes by using his big right hand to brutally knock them out. He had never faced an opponent that was willing to step up and charge at him as Fury did in their second fight. Fury who is 6'9 and 270 pounds was in Wilder's face the whole fight. Fury being the larger man forced Wilder to fight off of his back foot which he is not comfortable doing whatsoever. Wilders strikes began to look awkward and suddenly he didn't seem so scary after all.
After Wilder's first loss in his career, he was forced to reinvent himself. He had a massive change in team/staff and has worked on his overall boxing skills. Wilder is now trained by Malik Scott. Although this is Malik Scott's first time being a trainer. He truly is a student of the game and has always been a very detail-oriented boxer and has a lot to teach Wilder.
Fury on the other hand had Anthony Joshua on his mind for the past year. Fury and Joshua were even set to fight on August 14th in Saudi Arabia until Wilder requested to activate his rematch clause with Fury and crashed the party entirely. Fury and Wilder's trilogy was going to happen on July 24th but Fury contracted covid-19 and this further delayed the fight to October 9th. Many speculated that Fury may not be prepared for this fight because he originally had Joshua in mind and might be unmotivated because he doesn't truly want to fight Wilder a third time.
To the surprise of many boxing fans, Fury and his team decided to weigh in at 290 lbs for this trilogy. This is particularly strange because Fury looked best in the second fight that he came in at 270 lbs. He was powerful but still had his Mohammed Ali esque movement and footwork. Fury says he is doing it to tire out Wilder and exhaust him/make him feel his weight all night. Meanwhile, others suspect that Fury might simply be out of shape. Fury has always been vocal about his battle with his mental health. A multitude of boxing fans are worried that Fury had another rough span of depression and allowed that to interfere with his training and physical health.
Nevertheless, Fury and Wilder are some of the greatest entertainers of this generation and always put on a show and inspire fans all over the world. This trilogy feels special and unique. No matter the victor, Deontay Wilder, and Tyson Fury are once again bringing heavyweight boxing back on the map. On October 9th these two warriors are prepared to make history, you don't want to miss it! Buy your pay-per-view now at https://plus.espn.com/fury-wilder-3 .
